The Community Library in Ketchum will host Idaho author Ed Marohn for a free public reading and discussion of his new novel “Legacy of War” on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 6 p.m.

Marohn served in the Vietnam War with the 25th Infantry Division and the 101st Airborne Division. “Legacy of War” draws upon many of his personal experience in the war and afterwards as a facilitator for a PTSD group for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.

In the novel, a new patient triggers psychologist John Moore’s traumatic memories of his final days serving in Vietnam. Moore returns to Vietnam to confront his past and relive his most disturbing memories of killing fields, rogue CIA operatives, corrupt South Vietnamese officers and more starkly disillusioning realities.

This event is free and open to the public. Learn more at comlib.org and writingsfromed.com.
