On Thursday, Jan. 30, from 6-8 p.m. the Idaho Conservation League will head to the Konditorei for an evening of fish stories and ecological sciences focusing on the Gem State’s great salmon and steelhead populations.
Attendees can enjoy a cup of hot chocolate (or whatever else on the menu piques one’s interest) at Sun Valley’s Konditorei Bakery and Cafe as the ICL hosts experienced Idaho fishing guides to discuss one of North America’s greatest migrations.
Idaho’s salmon and steelhead have had their ups and downs over the years, and currently teeter on the edge of serious danger, with populations declining and human impacts threatening them at every river bend.
The ICL and the fishing guides will talk about sustainable practices, restorative initiatives and what the average Idaho citizen can do to help.
