Last week, the board of directors for the Argyros Performing Arts Center announced that Executive Director Douglas Rankin is departing from the organization to resume his semi-retirement.
In his place, Tim Mott, who oversaw the building’s construction and helped raise more than $17 million for the process and associated Performance Fund, will take up the mantle.
“We’d like to thank Doug for his valued contributions in helping to get the new building operational,” said Bill Lowe, president of the board of directors.
The Argyros opened in late November. Since then it has hosted or presented nearly 20 events, and its calendar is only growing more crowded moving forward.
“We’re all very honored and proud to have worked across the community for three years to create this incredible venue,” Mott said. “We’re eager to further establish programs that truly befit it.”
