The SUN Airport Art Committee is accepting submissions of two-dimensional artwork for a six-month winter exhibition at Friedman Memorial Airport in Hailey.
The committee expects to select at least 30 works for the exhibition, which will display from Nov. 14 to May 14 in the main lobby of the airport.
An independent jury of representatives from the airport, the arts commissions of Hailey, Bellevue and Ketchum, local galleries and other prominent figures from the Wood River Valley arts community will adjudicate and select the works.
Any artist residing in Blaine County is eligible to submit art for consideration. The airport art commission will not charge any application fee, nor will it dispense any monetary prize to successful applicants.
Applications are now being accepted as of today, Sept. 4. The deadline is Friday, Oct. 11. The airport will host an opening artist reception on Thursday, Nov. 21, to officially unveil the exhibition.
