Ham radio operators to hold fundraiser

The Wood River Amateur Radio Club will hold its third annual fundraiser this weekend to support the Baldy/Galena repeater system.

The event is Saturday, Nov. 10 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Sweetwater Community Center in Hailey. The event is a potluck and BYOB.

The main fundraising event will be a raffle, the prizes for which include: a new Yaesu FT60 dual band handheld radio, $100 cash prize from Power Engineers, backcountry gear from the Elephant's Perch and Backwoods Mountain Sports, six $25 gift cards to Red Robin, storage from Storage Plus, a gift from Galena Lodge, BCRD cross-country trail pass, a Sun Valley Trekking yurt trip($350 value), Redfish Lake boat rental, dual band custom roll up back country antennas, Boulder Mountain Tour race entry, tech and general study manuals, volt meter and more.
