By :JASON LYNCH

If Friedman Memorial Airport is replaced by a new airport in southern Blaine county, the city of Hailey will have the rare opportunity to redevelop a large swath its core. The public is invited to share in the process next week during three workshops in Hailey.

Planners have been developing preliminary site plans and identifying potential land-use strategies since last November, and they will present their findings during each of the workshops. The public can attend any or all of the presentations, which are scheduled as follows:

Feb. 15: Presentation to FMAA, Hailey City Council and Blaine County Commissioners. Wood River High School, Distance Learning Center, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Feb. 16: Presentation to City of Hailey Departments and Agency partners. Community Campus Room 301, 6-8 p.m.

Feb. 17: Presentation to general public. Community Campus Room 301, 6-8 p.m.
