Remote Medical International of Seattle is offering a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) training and certification course in Ketchum Nov. 13 - 22.
Sponsored by Sawtooth Mountain Guides, the 80-hour WFR certification is considered the standard for professionals working as guides, outdoor educators, as well as recreational expedition medical personnel in remote areas.
The WFR course by Remote Medical International emphasizes decision-making, hands-on skills and theoretical knowledge necessary to function in remote areas, as well as providing a strong foundation to progress on to more advanced levels of training. Wilderness first responders should be able to effectively make decisions when a hospital is hours to days away. Upon completion of the course participants will receive Wilderness First Responder certification as well as CPR for the healthcare provider certification. The cost for the course is $595.
