Taste farm delights at Webb
Webb Garden Center in Bellevue will hold a gourmet cooking demonstration with products from Bittersweet Herb Farm prepared by Chef Randy Tomasacci today from 12-4 p.m. For details, call 788-2066.
Women’s Imaging Center to open
St. Luke’s Wood River Foundation will celebrate the grand opening of the new Women’s Imaging Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, reception and tour on Friday, July 31, from 4-6 p.m. at St. Luke’s Wood River Medical Center south of Ketchum. For details, call 727-8419.
Library presents ceramic artist
Boulder Mountain Clayworks will host an evening with ceramic artist Josh DiWeese at The Community Library in Ketchum on Friday, July 31, at 6 p.m. The free event will explore how clay is a functional and creative expression. For details, call 726-3493.
Historical Society gives history tours
The Ketchum-Sun Valley Historical Society continues its guided historical walking tours on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Meet at Ketchum Forest Service Park. The tour is $20. For details, call 726-8118.
Motorcyclists escort kids to camp
The eighth annual motorcycle escort to Camp Rainbow Gold will take place Sunday, Aug. 2. Motorcyclists should meet at the Timmerman Hill blinking light rest stop at the intersection of Highway 75 and Highway 20. Bikers arrive and barbecue starts at 11 a.m. Buses arrive between 1 and 2 p.m., and the escort begins north to Cathedral Pines immediately after. Food and drink tickets cost $6. All proceeds benefit Camp Rainbow Gold and Kiwanis Club. There is not a riding fee or registration form. For details, call 578-0449 or e-mail sgray@mtnwb.com.
Dance to the music at the 32nd annual Northern Rockies Folk Festival
The folk festival will begin today, July 31, at 5 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 1, at 11:30 a.m.in Hailey's Hop Porter Park. A wristband for Friday only will cost $12. A wristband for Saturday only will cost $18. A two-day wristband will cost $25. Wristbands are available at Chapter One Bookstore in Ketchum, Notes Music in Hailey and online at nrff.net. Several nonprofit vendors will be selling food. Concertgoers can bring picnics but no dogs.
