Swinging For The Sharks

Lefty’s Sharks outfielder and Hailey Ice Executive Di-rector Sarah Benson didn’t miss a beat after the big announcement Thursday night of a $4 million gift to Hailey Ice from the Deer Creek Foundation for a new indoor rink in Hailey. Benson celebrated over the weekend by helping the Sharks’ slow-pitch softball team win the Ketchum Coed Softball League tourna-ment at Atkinson Park. She batted 8-for-11 with 7 runs scored and 8 RBI from the No. 6 spot in the Sharks bat-ting order in three Lefty’s wins that sealed the team’s second straight Ketchum tourney title.
