Greener pastures ahead

A band of sheep moves north on the bike path near the Wood River Community YMCA in Ketchum on Thursday morning. The woolly grazers held up traffic on state Highway 75 south of Ketchum Wednesday evening as they negotiated a maze of construction vehicles and barriers linked to the ongoing project to widen the highway. Numerous bands of sheep are herded north through the valley in spring and early summer to grazing areas in the mountains. Photo by Roland Lane
