Golf Carts Are Optional

Valley residents Frank Fiaschetti Jr. and Kerry McCarthy travel to the Bluebird Day Cafe to play their next hole during the annual Ketchum Wide Open golf “tournament” Saturday in Ketchum. Tourists passing through town got more than they bargained for as 274 costumed golfers paraded around the city to play short putting holes set up at various eating and drinking establishments. The tournament, which has persevered for 32 years, was originally designed to boost business during spring “slack.”
