Furry Friends Take Center Stage

A six-pack of sheepdogs wait for their turn at the National Point Qualifying Sheepdog Trials on Saturday in Quigley Canyon, east of Hailey. The trials, held Saturday and Sunday as part of the 16th annual Trailing of the Sheep Festival, featured some of the top sheepdogs in the nation competing in a six-step course to test their herding skills. These dogs, mostly border collies, were handled by Karen Zamora, left, and Marlene Warner.
