Finding a New Place in the Sun

Recently back from a seven-month tour of duty in Iraq as guards at Camp Bucca, a holding facility for 7,000 prisoners of war maintained by the U.S. military in the vicinity of Umm Qasr, three airmen take a break Thursday at River Run Lodge after trying out their ski legs on Baldy. Currently stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base in southern Idaho are, from the left, A1C Collin Everson, of Warrensburg, Mo., SSgt. Nick Allen, of Albany, N.Y., and SSgt. Jose Camero, of Midland, Texas. Forecasts for the weekend call for mostly cloudy to partly cloudy weather with a chance of snow. Sun Valley Resort reports 59 inches of snow at the base of Bald Mountain and 104 inches on the top. Photo by David N. Seelig
