Ketchum police have arrested one juvenile but continue their investigation into a string of car burglaries last week in the Warm Springs area.
Police Chief Dave Kassner said Thursday that seven burglaries were reported but that others likely occurred because police have recovered items that were not reported stolen.
The burglaries occurred on the evening of Thursday, July 31.
“We had cars broken into, and by people getting into cars they could also access garages,” Kassner said.
Items stolen included sunglasses, iPods, a computer, bicycles, tools, a camera, a skateboard and a motorcycle.
Kassner said investigation led to the arrest Monday afternoon of a 17-year-old boy who has been charged with one felony count of burglary and one misdemeanor count of resisting arrest.
“We have three other suspects under investigation,” Kassner said. “Two of them are adults and one is a juvenile.”
Kassner said many items have been recovered, though the most valuable item, the motorcycle, remained missing.
He said items recovered but not reported stolen include a longboard skateboard, a high-end watch, three pair of sunglasses, a camera with case, two flashlights, two multi-tools, a GPS device with adapter, a phone charger, a Bluetooth headset and one iPod. Anyone missing items or with information on the case is asked to contact Ketchum police at 726-7819.
