A 78-year-old Twin Falls man was flown by air ambulance to a Boise hospital following an ATV accident late last week in the Baker Creek area north of Ketchum.
A condition report on Luis H. Triner was not available from Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center on Tuesday. However, Blaine County Sheriff Gene Ramsey said Monday that Triner was in stable condition when police checked with the hospital following the accident on Thursday, June 19. Ramsey said Triner suffered ankle and head injuries.
The accident occurred around 4:45 p.m. Ramsey said Triner, riding a 2006 Suzuki KingQuad ATV, crashed on a switchback while he and his son, 46-year-old Matthew Triner, were riding on the east fork of Baker Creek Road. Ramsey said Matthew Triner reported that his father was conscious and coherent but was unable to remember the accident.
Ramsey said Mathew Triner hauled his father on an ATV to a campsite where the family was staying and from there drove him to the emergency room at St. Luke’s Wood River hospital south of Ketchum. Ramsey said Luis Triner was taken from there to Saint Alphonsus.
