Hot head

Wicked Wednesdays at Hailey’s Wicked Spud are going to be hotter than usual when Mic plays to raise money on June 18 for the Hailey Fire Department. Among the items up for silent auction is this special helmet, hand-painted by Blaine County School District Interim Superintendent John Blackman. Hailey Fire Chief Craig Aberbach said this is the first time the department has been a benefactor of the live music and is excited to have the helmet go for the big bucks. He invited the interested public to stop by the station in Hailey and try on the helmet. On Thursday, June 19, his department will host a Business After Hours and open house at 5 p.m. with a barbecue and flagpole ceremony. The station is located at 617 S. Third Ave. Call 788-3147 for more information.
