A bill, AB 480, to strip local governments from adopting or enforcing aesthetic building design standards passed the Idaho House by. 50-17 vote last week. If enacted, this could change the character of our cities and county: No more height limits, no designs that protect our scenic qualities, no setbacks.
I hope businesses, developers, local governments and advocacy groups will let the Idaho Senate and the governor know that AB 480 should be shelved. We need to preserve the character of our cities for which citizens have worked decades to shape.
