Showcase of sparring at Taekwondo meet

     Sun Valley Taekwondo staged the Doug Delaet Memorial Taekwondo tournament Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Community Campus gym, Hailey.

     Competitors came from Montana and Utah as well as Idaho to fill a field of 84 competitors. Tournament organizers announced they raised $1,000 for the memorial fund.

     Sun Valley Taekwondo competitors winning gold in Sparring and Poomse were Ethan Hansen, Michael Todd and Paul Vilcampoma.

     Here are results for 30 Sun Valley Taekwondo entrants provided by the tournament organizer, with their placements in Sparring and Poomse in parentheses after the names:

     Citlalli Arments (silver, gold), Adrian Armenta (silver, gold), Luis Armenta (bronze, gold), Larsen Bier (silver, gold), Isaac Brannon (silver, silver), Ivan Carillo (bronze, bronze) and Liam Curd (bronze in Poomse);

     Andy Gallegos (bronze, bronze), Ethan Hansen (gold, gold), Steve Lapa (silver in Poomse), Zuly Lapa (silver in Poomse), Curtis Larsen (silver, bronze), Jose Lopez (bronze, silver) and Benito Martinez (golds, bronze);

     Daisy Martinez (gold, bronze), Bryan Martinez (gold, bronze), Jennifer Ochoa (silver, silver), Ricky Osenga (bronze, bronze), Sebi Radl-Jones (gold, bronze), Eduardo Ramirez (silver, bronze) and Juan Reyes (bronze, gold);
