Hockey swap is Saturday at Atkinson Park

Youth hockey events


     Sun Valley Youth Hockey is planning a number of pre-season events centering around the SVYH/Ketchum Park Penguins “Hockey Swap,” on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 12 noon-2 p.m. in the Atkinson Park Common Room, Ketchum.

     Drop off “Hockey Swap” items for sale from 11 a.m.-noon Saturday, and pick up unsold gear and/or sale proceeds from 2-2:30 p.m. A total 15 percent of sales will benefit SVYH, Park Penguins and Hailey Ice.

     The SVYH program also has loaner equipment available for those who need to borrow equipment for the 2013-14 season. For details on the swap, Andi Meuicci, andimeucci.gmail.com or 425-890-1585.

     The Sun Valley Suns pre-season hockey camp is Tuesday, Oct. 22 through Thursday, Oct. 24 for ages 5-8 and 9-13. The three-day camp for ages 5-8 runs from 5-6 p.m. ($30), and the three-day camp for 9-13 goes from 6:10-7:30 p.m. ($50). Contact Charles Friedman svsuns@gmail.com for sign-up.
