Shellie Ann Muzzey passed peacefully the evening of Sept. 26, 2013, holding the hand of her adoring husband of 35 years, Ben.
Shellie was born Nov. 23, 1948, in Jonesboro, La., the 13th child of Lonnie and Floretta Harrel. Though Shellie never walked due to a terrible injury during her birth, she also never complained, and left footprints of hope and direction on the hearts of all who knew her. She was an absolute treasure who loved everybody, and for a season her sunshine smile belonged to us all, but ultimately she belonged to the God she so loved and trusted. She will be greatly missed, but her powerful selfless prayers for us are just beginning to blossom.
Shellie is survived by her husband and their sons, Mark and Benjamin; grandchildren, Malakai, Kingston, Kia, Isaiah; and a host of other family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 12, 2013, at Shoshone Assembly of God (120 W. Fourth St., on the north end of the building). Another celebration of life is being planned for the Wood River Valley.
Any donations in Shellie’s honor can be made to the family in Haiti she has loved and supported for many years (send to Shellie/Haiti, c/o Shoshone Assembly of God, Box 683, Shoshone, ID 83352). For other shared remembrances of Shellie, visit www.Facebook.com/Serenity.funeralchapel.
