Top track athletes picked in Northside

     Just in time for this weekend’s United Dairymen of Idaho’s 96th annual Idaho High School Track and Field meet, the 1A Division 2 Northside Conference revealed its top track athletes for the spring.

     Named 1A Division 2 track and field “Coaches of the Year” from the Northside were Jason Ellingson and Candice Smith, both from Camas County. Here are the All-Conference stars:

     · Sprints, boys (100m, 200m, 400m): Ty Zimmers of Castleford and Eli Berndt of Lighthouse Christian Academy.

     · Sprints, girls (100m, 200m, 400m): McKayla Mecham of Carey and Sydney Hagenbuch of the Community School.

     · Hurdles, boys (110m, 300m): Logan Rector of Castleford and Hazen Weber of Dietrich.

     · Hurdles, girls (100m, 300m): Stephanie Moore of Camas County and Medin Cenarrusa of Carey.

     · Distances, boys (800m, 1600m, 3200m): Troy Baynes of Murtaugh and Jacob Dalton of Dietrich.

     · Distances, girls (800m, 1600m, 3200m): Jaide Parke of Carey and Jennifer Zavala of Murtaugh.

     · Jumps, boys (high, long, triple): Eli Berndt of Lighthouse Christian Academy and Issac Simon of Camas County.

     · Jumps, girls (high, long, triple): Stephanie Moore of Camas County, Hailee Johnson of Carey and Jackie van Vliet of Lighthouse Christian.

     · Field, boys (shotput, discus): Reylee Reynolds of Castleford and Jordan Robles of Camas County.

     · Field, girls (shotput, discus): Taylor Gorringe and Jessica Lanier of Camas County.
