The Hemingway Chapter of Trout Unlimited will present a documentary about fly fishing in the 17th century at its next meeting Thursday, May 2, at Whiskey Jacques’ Restaurant & Nightclub in Ketchum.
The meeting will be held from 5-7 p.m. The public is invited and admission is free.
The documentary, “Isaac Walton—The Complete Angler,” is a Peabody Award-winning film produced by James Prosek, an American artist, writer and naturalist. The film is about Walton, author of the book “The Complete Angler,” which was first published in 1635.
Prosek has authored several books on fish and fly fishing, including “Trout,” an illustrated history that includes watercolors of 70 species, subspecies and strains of trout in North America.
Trout Unlimited reported that the documentary will be accompanied by the full sound system at Whiskey Jacques’.
The meeting will be the last monthly meeting of Trout Unlimited until September. For more information on Trout Unlimited, call (208) 788-3618.
