Observe, create at The Center

By BRENNAN REGO
Express Staff Writer

Kids entering third through sixth grade who are serious about art can participate in the Sun Valley Center’s “Nature & The Art of Observation”  2013 summer art camp.
They will make paper, construct an art journal, draw from observation and explore various other materials for making art. The camp runs from July 22-26 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Registration by July 8 is required for the camp, which will be held at The Center in Hailey. Call 726-9491 or visit sunvalleycenter.org.
Cost per session is $350 for members and $400 for non-members. There are scholarships available.
Also, later in the summer, kids can enjoy free kids crafts at the Sun Valley Center Arts & Crafts Festival Aug. 9-11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Children will have the opportunity to get their hands dirty by trying some of the techniques used by the artists in the Festival.
