Camp Big Wood at the Big Wood School in Ketchum is providing action-packed summer days for the little ones—whether it’s down on the farm, home cooking or flower power!
Big Wood School located at Ketchum’s Big Wood Presbyterian Church is offering its summer camp again this year for ages 18 months to six years. It’s an 11-week program packed with art projects, games, music, soccer, dance, water play and other themed activities.
The camp runs from June 12-Aug. 23. Monthly and weekly rates are offered covering attendance anywhere from two to five days weekly. Half day and full day options are available. There is a daily drop-in rate.
Day campers hike the many kid-friendly trails of the valley. They pedal along the bike path and pick wildflowers during the June 17-21 “Flower Power” Camp.
Campers dabble with arts and crafts. They cook up some tasty treats during the June 24-28 “Let’s Get Cookin’” week.
Other themes include “God Bless the USA,” “Summer Olympics,” “A Sun Valley Summer” and “Down on the Farm.” There is a “Broadway Stage” week Aug. 12-16.
The summer of fun starts with a three-day “Let’s Get Acquainted to Camp” introduction from Wednesday to Friday, June 12-14. Thereafter, camp sessions are Tuesdays through Fridays through Aug. 23.
There is no camp on Thursday and Friday, July 4-5.
