We have to crack down on people who are putting poisoned meat on public lands with the intention of harming wildlife and domestic animals.
It is our responsibility as citizens to expose the perpetrators of these cowardly acts. It is also critical that the authorities analyze the meat that is being planted at our trailheads, roadsides and in the back county. The police, Forest Service and Fish and Game departments must make it a greater priority to investigate, apprehend and prosecute these criminals.
With more awareness on the public’s part and the cooperation of legal authorities, we can stop these deranged animal-haters from killing our wildlife and our pets.
