Ketchum police are investigating a vandalism spree that occurred last weekend.
“A number of vehicles and buildings have either markings with spray paint or permanent marker on them,” police reported in a news release. “A windshield was also broken on a vehicle. These have happened at city parks, west Ketchum businesses and the Community Library.”
“Vandalism is a senseless crime that costs property owners and taxpayers money,” said Ketchum Police Chief Steve Harkins. “KPD is committed to making this a priority as it did three-plus years ago when a group of teenagers was charged with similar crimes of vandalizing personal and city property.”
Harkins said the vandalism is occurring at night. He requested that anyone who sees suspicious activity contact Ketchum police at 726-7819 or Blaine County Dispatch, emergency 911 or non-emergency 788-5555.
