Gabrielle Sanborn Youth Memorial Cutting is March 23-24 in Nampa

Remembering Hailey-raised Gabrielle Sanborn and her love of horses, a Youth Memorial Scholarship Cutting will be held Saturday and Sunday, March 23-24 in Nampa as part of the Idaho Cutting Horse Association (ICHA) Spring Weekend Show at Idaho Horse Park Arena located on Idaho Center Boulevard.
Sanborn, daughter of Kimberly Macdonald and granddaughter of longtime ICHA board member and competitor Gina Macdonald, died in Bellevue Jan. 5 at 20. In its announcement about the cutting, the ICHA said, “Gabbe found the magic in horses, a love she shared with her grandmother who introduced Gabbe to cutting.” A free spirit, full of talent for art and life, Sanborn made people feel comfortable being around her.
The cutting is offered both days of the weekend show. Entering is easy. Prizes will be awarded for both Junior and Senior Youth, based on points, but you must be entered both days. Visit idahocha.com for more details.
