Art show to open at Coffee Grinder

The Coffee Grinder in Ketchum will have an art opening tonight from 5-7 p.m. with wine and appetizers. The show will feature photographs by Eric Kiel and pencil, ink and encaustic works on wood by Danielle Fuller.

Gold Mine gears up for winter

The Gold Mine thrift store in Ketchum will hold its Ski Opening on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All ski equipment and clothing will be featured and snow sport professionals have volunteered to be on hand to help fit and find gear for skiing, snowboarding, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing and more. Iconoclast Books to present 'The Last Chapter'

Registered nurse Carolyn Nystrom will present Idaho-relevant information on end-of-life care from the book "The Right Choice at the Right Time" on Monday, Nov. 9, at 6 p.m. at Iconoclast Books in Ketchum. The free lecture and discussion will be co-hosted by the Hospice and Palliative Care of the Wood River Valley. Refreshments will be served.

Historical Society to hold annual membership meeting

The Ketchum-Sun Valley Historical Society Heritage & Ski Museum will host its annual membership meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 5 p.m. at Forest Service Park in Ketchum. The museum will present a short video and lecture by Mary Jane Griffith Conger. The video focuses on her family's history in the Wood River Valley. The meeting is open to the public and refreshments will be served. For details, call 726-8118.

Garden to hold wreath workshop

Stephanie McCord, owner of Little Utopia Floral Design, will instruct a hands-on wreath-making workshop at the Sawtooth Botanical Garden on Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 5-7 p.m.

Attendees will learn the proper techniques for working with fresh, green materials. The workshop is $10 for members and $15 for non-members.
