Dear Kevin I think your idea is GREAT....wish I could come and help plant your garden....good luck....luv Mrs. B. 11/12/09 - 00:16
I couldn't think of a better idea for the current property....as a parent and teacher I would love to see my child involved in this project. The White House Garden is inspiring and what better way to involve children, grow local food and showcase artwork from local artists. We need more ideas like these in our communities. 11/14/09 - 14:42
Thanks for your interest, we would love to have you and your family assist us in the garden. Please email me at ketchumrestaurant@gmail.com 11/05/09 - 06:00
The last thing this town needs is another park, We live in a PARK! The town need bodies, like at least 1000 to make this place more viable. We need revised building codes that don't require underground parking, eliminate ugly gingerbread cut up buildings facades that add nothing to usage but add to the overall cost and cut down on the usable square footage, like all the 3rd floor setbacks. If we tore down everything we didn't like in town a bulldozer would be busy for months. How about starting with a couple banks first. 11/14/09 - 14:50
Dear Concerned Resident, I too look forward to more vitality in our town. Until we as a community find a better use for the vacant land we will have a garden to share rather than a graffiti stricken fence and dilapidated buildings. Put forward some ideas for the URA owned land and we can all work on a solution together. It will one day be a wonderful site for community housing in our downtown core, activating the streets with even more people than today. I am willing to help! 11/04/09 - 10:00
Trevon - What Kevin is doing is great but rwhat you listed for the cost of the property is incorrect. The borrowed 2 million from the Idaho Housing and Finance Assoc. and took $707,914.00 from the in-lieu funds. If you are reporting only 1.5 million for Idaho Housing where did the other half million go. Please look into this a report the exact amounts. Thank you 11/04/09 - 20:52
