Tell that to someone who can't walk. Are they supposed to hire an equestrian outfitter? Maybe a commercial rafting company, with the forest service dynamiting any trees that might clog the rivers and interrupt the Wildernessland experience. This will all end, though. U.N. Agenda 21 stipulates an end to all human entry into so-called "wilderness" areas. No hiking, no biking, no skiing, nothing. NREPA is a manifestation of Agenda 21. Who needs trails? The best wilderness experiences are when one gets off the trails on foot. There are those that advocate de-mapping of the wilderness so we cannot land-navigate with a topo map. When will it end? When I can no longer walk I might want to use a motorized vehicle to get away from it all. Aw, heck. Screw the elderly and handicapped, right? 05/20/09 - 16:18
NREPA is not a better bill. NREPA includes too much land that should not be considered wilderness. NREPA will also hurt the economies many of the small communities that rely on motorized recreation. NREPA is not the way to go. 05/20/09 - 13:05
Let's hope Simpson is wrong. NREPA is the much better option for the wilderness areas. This is our chance for a lasting legacy...a real gift to future generations. Let's look up from our own lives and think ahead. NREPA is the better bill. 05/20/09 - 15:34
