Wood River Gymnastics Academy competitive teams traveled to Nampa's Northwest Nazarene University Jan. 24 for their third meet of the season.
The local teams all ended up on the podium receiving ribbons, medals and trophies for their remarkable efforts during the eight-team regional meet that attracted 150 girls to beam, bars, vault and floor routines.
"Our three competitive teams are getting stronger and stronger with every meet," coach Andrea Minnick said. "These girls put in between 7 and 10 hours a week at the gym and it's really paying off."
Level 3 girls competed in an entry-level division and all received trophies. Luma Randolph, Addason Park, Sienna Miley, AnneMarie Deffe, Hennessey Star, EvaThea Drougas, Bryn Downey, Aspen Wall, Annie Burks and Jessie Burks are on the Level 3 team.
The Level 4 and Level 5 girls captured sixth places in their respective overall team ranks. Here are their results:
Level 5: Alma Stosius 1st vault and bars, 3rd all around; Kaili Smith 3rd floor, 5th all around; Maddie Marcouiller 5th vault, 12th all around; Sara Runkle 4th floor, 13th all around; Marlow Mizer 6th all around; and Callie Weber 5th beam, 10th all around.
Level 4: Megan Kaminski 5th overall; Amber Park 10th overall; Bella Stethem 3rd overall; Amber Dolenar 10th overall; Lauren Cord 9th overall; and Haley Bjorkman 13th overall.
